KIA GT – EV3-EV4-EV5

Kia Unveils GT Variants of EV3, EV4 and EV5 at Brussels Motor Show

Here’s what’s known so far about Kia EV3 GT, EV4 GT, and EV5 GT (the full GT performance models — not “GT-Line” appearance trims).

Big picture

Kia premiered three new fully electric GT models at Brussels Motor Show 2026:

  • EV3 GT (compact SUV)
  • EV4 GT (hatchback + fastback)
  • EV5 GT (mid-size SUV) (Mynewsdesk)

Kia says production starts in Q2 2026, with launch in autumn 2026. (Mynewsdesk)

Key specs (official “tentative” pre-homologation figures)

(Kia notes specs are tentative until EU type approval/homologation.) (Mynewsdesk)

Dimensions (useful for “size class”)

  • EV3 GT: 4310×1850×1575 mm, wheelbase 2680 mm (Mynewsdesk)
  • EV4 GT: 4450×1860×1485 mm, wheelbase 2820 mm (Mynewsdesk)
  • EV5 GT: 4610×1875×1675–1680 mm, wheelbase 2750 mm (Mynewsdesk)

What makes them “GT” (hardware + software)

All three get a GT drive mode that changes throttle response, steering, suspension tuning, and the driver displays. (Mynewsdesk)

They also add:

  • Electronically controlled suspension (GT-specific tuning). (Mynewsdesk)
  • Virtual Gear Shift (VGS) + Active Sound Design (simulated shifts/sound — can be switched off). (Mynewsdesk)
  • Digital Key 2.0, HUD, Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA Entry), Harman/Kardon audio, V2L (Vehicle-to-Load), i-Pedal 3.0, plus lots of “GT” interior bits (sport seats, GT steering wheel, GT UI). (Mynewsdesk)

Extra drivetrain/chassis tech (EV3 GT & EV4 GT)

  • Kia lists e-torque vectoring in the features for EV3 GT and EV4 GT. (Mynewsdesk)

EV5 GT specific

  • Adds suspension with a road preview system (reads the road ahead and preps damping). (Mynewsdesk)

Driver-assistance (ADAS) package (common list)

Kia lists a broad set including FCA 2, HDA2, LFA2, SCC2, blind-spot aids, surround view, parking collision avoidance, etc. (EV5 notes one item may be n/a in UK). (Mynewsdesk)

Range: what we know (and what we don’t)

Known

Kia has published range for the non-GT cars:

  • EV3 up to 605 km (Long Range versions). (Kia)
  • EV4 ranges up to about 625 km (Kia Sweden) / 630 km (Kia EU presales). (Kia)

Not yet published (for GT)

For EV3 GT / EV4 GT / EV5 GT, Kia’s GT press material above does not state WLTP range yet (homologation pending). (Mynewsdesk)

What you should expect: GT versions usually land lower WLTP than the FWD long-range cars because of AWD, stickier tyres, and performance tuning. Some media are estimating EV5 GT around ~480 km, but that’s not official. (WhichCar)

GT vs GT-Line (important!)

  • GT-Line = styling/trim (sporty look, bigger wheels, etc.)
  • GT = the proper performance model (dual motors, GT mode, VGS/sound, GT chassis, etc.) (Mynewsdesk)

What to watch next (the “missing pieces”)

These are the big items Kia still needs to publish for each market (Sweden/EU/UK):

  1. Final WLTP ranges (GT-specific) and consumption
  2. Peak DC charging power curve (they give time, but not max kW)
  3. Pricing + trims (EV3/EV4/EV5 GT price positioning vs GT-Line and competitors)
  4. Tow rating (often matters in Sweden/Nordics)
