News about Tesla Charging and Roaming

Here’s the short version of what’s actually new around Tesla + roaming + other charging networks, with focus on Europe/Nordics.

1. Tesla ➜ other networks: MultiPass

Tesla MultiPass is the big new thing:

• Lets you charge at third-party chargers using your Tesla account (no separate app/card).
• You find the charger in the Tesla app, start charging, and it bills via your Tesla account.

2. Other networks ➜ Tesla: Superchargers via roaming / fleet cards

The other big shift is the opposite direction: more roaming and fleet solutions can now use Tesla Superchargers.

Edenred / UTA eCharge / Ticket Fleet Pro

• Edenred has just integrated Tesla into its electromobility offer.
• Users now get access to 20,000+ Tesla Superchargers at ~1,500 locations across Europe, up to 250 kW, via UTA eCharge and Ticket Fleet Pro. (Reuters)

Fleet cards directly in Tesla app

• Tesla has enabled 34 fleet/charge-card providers (DKV, WEX, UTA, etc.) inside the Tesla app in Europe, with more on the way.
• You add your employer card to the Tesla app, charge at Superchargers, and the billing goes straight to the fleet card. (Not A Tesla App)

So: if you drive a company car, there’s a much higher chance your existing fleet card now “just works” on Superchargers.

3. Big roaming alliances on the non-Tesla side

Spark / Charge League (Atlante + Electra + Fastned + Ionity)

Four big HPC players – Atlante, Electra, Fastned, Ionity – are building Europe’s largest shared fast-charging network:

• Around 11,000 charging points / 1,700 stations across 25 countries. (Reuters)
• You can use any member’s app (Ionity, Fastned, Electra, Atlante) to find and pay at all network sites – no new app needed. (support.ionity.eu)

This is the main non-Tesla highway DC alternative that now behaves almost like a single network.

Fortum Charge & Drive (Nordics)

In the Nordics, Fortum Charge & Drive continues to be a strong roaming hub:

• 44,000+ charging points in the Nordics via one app. (Fortum Charge & Drive)
• Partners include Recharge, Virta, IONITY, Lidl, K-Lataus, Allego, GreenFlux and others – all usable from the same app/key. (Fortum)

For a Swedish/Nordic driver, that’s still one of the best “catch-all” roaming apps alongside Tesla.

4. What this means for you in practice

If you drive a Tesla (or often use Tesla infrastructure):

1. Use MultiPass when you leave the Supercharger corridor
   – Good for destination AC/DC where local CPO apps are messy.
2. Check if your fleet / charging card is now supported in the Tesla app
   – If yes, you can often drop separate Supercharger cost reporting and let everything go via your employer card.
3. Combine Tesla + one strong roaming app
   • For a Nordic driver, a combo like Tesla app + Fortum Charge & Drive gives:
     • Tesla: Superchargers + MultiPass to 3rd-party CPOs. (Tesla)
